Lady Captain’s Day (Thu 25/6/26)
Over to Rowena Allen for an excellent summary
The sun came out in force to help celebrate Lady Captain’s Day. Great care was taken to keep everyone hydrated, from drinks on the patio to a special ice cream delivery man, doing his rounds on the course!
Celebrations continued in the late afternoon with a fabulous high tea, beautifully created and presented by Zoe and her team. Prize giving followed with some excellent scores being achieved over the 9-holes despite the scorching heat. Mary Cockbain was the overall winner with 22 points, with Kathleen McNairney in second place attaining 21 points narrowly beating Pauline Keeling on countback, also with 21 points. Mary was back in the prizes for achieving nearest the line, with Emma Daynes scooping up the award for nearest the pin. A big thank you goes to Lady Captain for hosting a very memorable and enjoyable day.
