Hale Juniors vs Cheshire u14s

Our junior section took on the Cheshire u14s side here at Hale just over a week ago. The format was 8 singles matchplay matches. We didn’t win the match but our team had a great experience and no doubt learned some valuable golfing lessons. Well done to Ollie Grieves for winning his match.

The Cheshire organisers were very complimentary of the club as per the following which I have copied and pasted from Graham McCormack’s email.

As an aside, we were delighted with the welcome we received from the staff,
members of the club & the players.  Nothing was too much trouble, the
catering was superb (our president was knocked out by the quality &
presentation of the breakfast, it was the best she’d ever seen)  Thank Mr
Captain for taking the time to say hello & welcome us, that was so nice.

My special thanks go to you, Richard, for putting this together, players,
parents & I were delighted with the complete set up & day.  Last but
certainly not least, please compliment the greens staff for presenting the
course in lovely condition today…
