Magnificent Mills

This week we cover the results of the last seven days or so and discuss payment of members guest green fees. Plus there’s a reminder about the upcoming Ping demo day.

Ping are coming on Monday 10th July with times between 1140 and 1420. Please drop me an email if you like to come along and try their latest range of G430 clubs, which is the top selling driver, fairway, hybrid and iron model year to date in the UK. We reckon some distance and consistency is sure to help your game in 2023 and beyond.

Medal 2

Well done to Alex Mills for shoiting a gross 74 for a nett 65 to win Medal 2 on Saturday. He;s worked hard at his game so it just goes to show what a bit of focused practice can do. My Golf

I played some competitive golf last week and was delighted to win the PGA Cheshire Championship which was played at Knutsford GC with a three under par round of 67.

I then headed to Essex to play in the PGA Seniors Championships which is 36 holes (one round at Romford GC and one round at West Essex GC followed by a cut. I’m delighted to say that I made the cut and so played the final round at Romford GC. I finished 22nd overall (240 players entered) and shot rounds of +5, level and -1 for a four over par total.

So I was very pleased with these performances and hope I can continue this good form into the rest of the season.

Photos

Thanks to Sue Bryant for these photos f the pong on the new 4th/13th hole. The big dark oval on the second photo is apparently a mass of tadpoles.
