Nine and Dine on Fri 8/8/25
Well done to Rob Manley, Linda Pennington, Sue Bryant & Robert Spark for winning this best two from four team format with 46 stableford points. The runners up were Al Kenney, Chris Marsh, Joanne Bryant & Glyn Isaac with 43 points. It was played over the back nine.
Par Trophy and 9 hole stableford on Thu 7/8/25
Congrats to Tracey Thompson for winning the Par Trophy with a score of 1up. There were 3 other players with the same score but it was helen Wiliams who ended up takng the runners up spot following the card play off. Sally Blackburn was third and Caroline Perkin was fourth.
Well done to Morven Millar for winning the 9 hole stableford with 20 points in one of her first ever comps. Kerry Bailey was second with 19 points.
Mixed TNC – Thu 7/8/25

Medal 7
Well done Peter Atherton for winning Medal 7 with a nett 67. Junior captain Olly Mills was second with a nett 68 and Ian Powell third with the same score. The best gross score of the comp was Danny Fox with a 79.
Honourable mentions to Tommy Lamb and Sam Hazlehurst for shotting nett 61 and 67 repsectively. Unfortunately they had not played enough comps in the previous 12 months for their scores to be able to count.
Centenary Trophy & 9 hole comp on Thu 31/7/25
Janet Grant won the Centenary trophy with a fine nett score of 68 and Clare Withey was the runner up with a nett 69.
Vicki Wells won the front 9 hole medal with an excellent nett 31 and Mary Cockbain was second with a nett 34.
Seniors Texas Scramble on Wed 30/7/25
There were two comps that took place in this event – one from the yellow tees and one from the red tees.
The winners of the yellow tee comp with 24 points were Tarik Rashid, Martin Oldfield and Ian Macklin. And the winners of the red tee comp, alsow ith 24 points, were Bill Wrigley, Phil Long and Chairman Paul Glbert.
Medal 6 on Sat 26/7/25
Antony Morris won Medal 6 with a nett 66 and his handicap continues to decrease at a rapid rate so very well done Antony. John Kennedy lost on countback to finish in second spot and gents captain Glyn isaac was third with a nett 67. Danny Fox recorded the best gross again – this time with a 76.
Sam Hazlehurst gets another special mention for recording a nett 61 but again that culdn’t count for the same reasons mentioned previously. Keep up the great golf Sam!
Nine & Dine – Fri 25/7/25
The winners of the Texas Scramble were Terri Broadbent, Bernie Wilcox, John Wilcox and Phil Long. The runners up were David and Mary Cobaine, Ceri and Adam Hyde. Both teams recorded 27 points.
Gentleman Captain’s Day for the Ladies
Irene Kirk won the 18 hole stableford with a whopping 43 points and Mary Cockbain was second with 38 points.
Sue Bryant won the F9 stableford with 19 points beating Jane Wilkinson on count back.
Seniors Stableford 5
This was played over the back nine and Derek Marshal won with a good score of 21 points. Ken Hawes was beaten on a card play off to finish second and Graham Jones was third with 19 points.
